Registered Echocardiography Sonographer
General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Mainly adult echocardiography, TEE, stress testing, stress echo, holter monitor application/scanning, Pulmonary Function testing, Electroencephalographs and electrocardiograms
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Meditech EMR, GE Vivid E9 and Vivid q echo equipment, Quinton and GE stress equipment, McKesson Horizon Cardiology CPACS
Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
M-F 8-1630. Minimum one weekend per month.
Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
Average 150 echoes per month.
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
Employee will be assigned a mentor. Will perform each task under the direct supervision of supervisor/ assignee before going solo to validate competence.
3.Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Adult echo, TEE, stress testing, minimum 2 years experience. Pediatric echo and or Respiratory Therapy background a plus
4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
RDCS or RCS, BLS, required ACLS preferred
Adult Echo skills are a must. We are willing to train in areas that may be unfamiliar to applicant such as Pediatric echo, EEG, holters, EKGs.
